Hi! My name is Max, and I am excited to continue my major in computer science and serve at Viking Catholic! Viking Catholic has provided an amazing community of welcoming Catholics on a campus that tends to secularism. I wanted to give back to the Newman Center, without which I would not be Catholic. I hope that there is a stirring in understanding of the Catholic faith on campus. Many people who weren't raised Catholic understandably don't know much at all of our faith. So, I hope to see more people coming to visit the Newman Center to gain a bit more appreciation for the faith, whether or not they fully join.
Hey, I'm Rita! Viking Catholic has given me a place to rediscover my faith and a community that is filled with joy for the Lord. I am excited to engage with students on campus and volunteer in our community. I want to give back to Viking Catholic and make it a place that everyone feels welcome - I can't wait to see all the new people God invites into Viking Catholic.
I was just welcomed into the church this past Easter Vigil. I believe that faith best practiced is best served. I am super thrilled and privileged to be of service to my peers! Western Washington University is soil ripe for planting some seeds. If it wasn't for the Newman Center I would not be a Catholic. As a convert to the faith, It was the Viking Catholic Community that showed me what it means to be Christ-like. This community also showed me what it means to live out your faith un-ashamed and un-afraid. I look forward to the opportunity to build up our community to reach out to the students and young people of Bellingham!
Hi, my name is Austin and I am so blessed to be a part of the team! I have been attending Viking Catholic for about three years, and the community has played a crucial role in my conversion. I’m very blessed to be on the team this year and I cant wait to share my gifts with everyone!
